Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a closely related fieldCoursework/Training: Child Life specific clinical training experience (e.g., practicum and/or internship) in a pediatric medical setting Coursework/Training: Trained in Child Development principles and impact of illness and hospitalization on children and families; application of therapeutic play, developmental education, and expressive modalities to address psychosocial needs of children and familiesNational Certified Child Life Specialist - Association of Child Life Professionals within 6 months (180 days) of hirePreferred Qualifications:1 year of experience working with young children and adolescents in a healthcare settingCompletion of at least 600 hours of clinical training supervised by a Certified Child Life SpecialistWhy Join Providence?Our best-in-class benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
